The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Ephesians 1:3-14 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ; even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love; having predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire, to the praise of the glory of his grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved, in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him; in whom also we were made a heritage, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will; to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ: in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the gospel of your salvation, — in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God`s own possession, to the praise of his glory.”
The title will get you thinking that one wants you to get reach quickly and buy that dream house you always wanted, in fact it is just the opposite, and I want to show all of you that you are already rich, very rich. God gave us everything already, His pockets is so deep that we will never find the end of it.
We have a miss perception to give freely. The bible tells us we must live without stress 1 Peter 5 “casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” We think when we give to others; we will get poor and loose our money and we stress because we worry what will happen then to us. God made us to life for others, and love one another, He created us to live for Him and not to worry about our earth possessions, and it will not last forever. We were made to give freely with all our heart and then we will receive from Him. God gives freely; in Luke 9 God invited one time 5000 people for dinner. He did not stress, in the end there was plenty food that was over that the people did not finish.
We tend to think that rich people gives more, that is wrong. Most of the time it is harder for rich people to give their money away and they seems to be happy, but it is not always the case. Gods’ people can be happy and help out and enjoy a fruitful life. I truly believe what the bible says that we must give a tithe of our monthly salary to God. People have this saying that a tithe includes time as well, which is a misconception. The bible says Malachi 3:8-9, “Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. But you ask, ‘How do we rob you?’ In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse — the whole nation of you — because you are robbing me.” I feel that we must trust and give to God in full like the bible ask of us to be truly receive the blessing that God has to offer. I tend to see that rich people hold onto their money and are not always that happy as we think they are, money can’t buy happiness.
The moral of the story is, we all try to make money and get rich and buy all the things we want, but when we trust in God and accept Him as the One who died for our sins on the cross, we are already rich, all our earthly possessions mean nothing and will be lost one day, but His Kingdom will last forever.
